Research:

This is the family of Mathew / Matthew Coogan.  He was born
in Ireland and lived in the townland of Castletown in County 
Laois / Leix / Queens.

Mathew's sons, James Coogan and John Coogan, lived in the 
townlands of Churchfield, Parkavilly, Raheen and Rosskelton.
Raheen is about eight miles west-south-west of Castletown and 
Rosskelton is about six miles east of Castletown.

Most members of this family were employed in various trades 
related to ironworking and later moved to Dublin.  

John's grandson, John ('Jack') Coogan, emigrated to England in 
the mid Twentieth Century.  While employed as a construction 
worker, he traveled the world.  He eventually emigrated to the
United States (mid Twentieth Century), and settled in San 
Francisco, California.  Jack eventually moved his new family to 
Juneau, Alaska, and he operated a successful construction 
business there for many years. His descendants still live there 
today.

Crystal is Jack's grand-daughter (descendant of Matthew Coogan
through his son, John).

Noel is a descendant of Matthew Coogan through his grandson,
Edward Coogan.
