Research:

This is the family of John Coogan, a clothier.  He was born in 
Ireland and emigrated to the United Kingdom in the early 
Nineteenth Century.  He settled in Forfarshire (Angus), Scotland.  
The family lived near Dundee for many years.

One member of this family, Marjorie Rattray Coogan, married into
another Dundee COOGAN family in 1876 (see dundee2.txt).

This family has also been found as COUGAN.
